We have compared the results obtained with CLSM and OCT by plotting for all volunteers and sites the parameter UD measured with CLSM against the corresponding parameter Doct determined with OCT.A good correlation between UD and Doct is obtained revealing a Pearson correlation coefficient of 0.91. The regression line of UD = 0.86 Doct + 15 mm suggests a reasonably strong association between UD and Doct. Our analysis shows a reasonably strong association between the two variables UD and Doct obtained with CLSM and OCT respectively, indicating that the same layer in the skin is measured with the two techniques.
